Decked Builder - Mobile Apps for MTG

Hi all,

It has been a busy weekend. We submitted Decked Drafter 1.1 to Apple, with the eagerly awaited New Phyrexia patch. Marlon has been cranking out the games, trying to understand the format and get some good ratings and descriptions for you. We have also added some new features as well. The full change list is below:

- Added support for New Phyrexia
- New drafts can now be restarted -- see if you can do better by drafting differently.
- New drafts can now be emailed -- share your drafts with your friends, and with us if you have any questions.
- Use Greek Phi symbol for Phyrexian mana symbols.
- Enhance AI to be able to recoginze creatures with alternate mana costs (i.e. Phyrexian mana)
- Added an easy way to leave feedback on individual cards -- feel free to report typos or discuss card ratings and descriptions.

We have also released Decked Builder 1.7.2 to Apple. It is to fix a memory leak which has been causing some crashes in the last patch, please update to it when you get it.

Lastly, work continues on the big Mac patch, which we are really excited about. Once that is complete, we hope to port all the collections work to the iPhone and iPad versions.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Johnny Moustakis for a small but really clever suggestion: using the Greek Phi symbol to represent Phrexian mana! Below is a sample screenshot of the new mana symbol, which will be in the next release of the app. Thanks Johnny!

The big Mac patch

05/23/2011

Hi all,

I understand that Apple is still reviewing the HD patch for New Phyrexia for the Mac (we submitted it on May 16)... however, in the meantime, we have been hard at work integrating all the iPhone / iPad changes into the Mac version, as well as making some upgrades of our own.

The next Mac patch will be a big one, incorporating some of the requests you have made:

- Integrated single window for all deck and collection work
- Enhanced testing features similar to the iPad, but with drag and drop support to make it even easier
- Filter your collection the same way you search for cards
- Add notes to your collection cards to track alternate artwork, foreign language cards etc
- Price your deck or collection

Also, if you are interested in helping to beta test this large version upgrade, just drop me an email at support@deckedbuilder.com

A picture tells a thousand words, so we hope you enjoy the screenshots below!

Hi all,

New iPhone, iPad and Mac versions of Decked Builder have been submitted to Apple. You should have New Phyrexia available on your device soon -- including support for the new Phyrexian mana symbols.

In addition, we have been working overtime to generate new mana symbols due to legal issues. Because of the short time frame, we have gone with a minimalist look for now, using simple circles and colors for the new mana symbols. If anyone wants to contribute, we will be more than happy to accept submissions for new mana symbols.

Check out the new look below.
