Hi all,

Our usual provider of high quality card scans is late. As such, as an experiment, we are asking for your help in providing card photos of your Magic 2013 cards. All you have to do is:

1) Browse to

http://www.mtgo-stats.com/card_scan

This will list the card photos we still require.

2) Snap a photo of the card in clear, bright light (preferably neutral sunlight) against a neutral background with your iOS or Android device

3) Click on a card name to display a send email form. Attach the photo and just send it to us. 

iOS tip: to attach a photo, first open your photo gallery, then long press (tap and hold down) a photo to bring up the copy menu, then tap copy. After that, flip over to the email (double-press your home button to make it faster) and then long press again to paste the photo into the email.

We will then retouch the photo as required. An example card photo taken from our Samsung Galaxy Ace is shown below.

Also, we will be more than happy to provide a complimentary copy of any of our apps for every 30 photos that we accept and use from any email address.

Hi all,

The Database Update functionality is broken for Mac 10.6 users due to us upgrading our Xcode compiler -- please accept my sincerest apologies. Apparently there are now some new flags to enable 10.6 support which we had missed (Apple sure makes you jump through hoops to support older versions of their stuff). We have submitted a patch to Apple, but in the meanwhile, for those who want Magic 2013 immediately can follow these steps:

1) Copy the attached file to your Downloads folder. For those using Safari, right-click the file and select "Save Linked File to Downloads".

2) Start Terminal (Command-Space, then type Terminal)

3) Copy and paste the following command into the Terminal window, then execute it

cp ~/Downloads/DBUpdateDatabaseWindow.nib "/Applications/Decked Builder.app/Contents/Resources/DBUpdateDatabaseWindow.nib"

Should it complain about not having permissions, you might need to prepend sudo to the command.

Hope that helps! You should be getting a patch 2.7.7 from Apple (already submitted) hopefully within the next two weeks.

Marlon Egolf has just put the finishing touches on the initial card ratings for Magic 2013. If you are interested in learning to draft or play sealed deck with the new core set better, this will let you get a head start on the competition.

Hi all,

For Android users, we have just updated the app to version 1.1 with a whole list of new features and bug fixes. The most notable additions are Magic 2013 and MagicCardMarket.eu as a pricing source. We also hope to have resolved most of the crashing bugs. Update away!

- Added Magic 2013 cards.
- Added error reporting when app is unable to save a deck (usually because the SD card is not available).
- Improved error reporting when loading data (usually because SD card is not available).
- Deck files now list in reverse modified date/time order.
- Tighten up integration with mtgo-stats.com
- Added AdventuresOn.com as a pricing source.
- Added MagicCardMarket.eu as a pricing source. European players, rejoice!
- Changed Settings page.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes.
- Fixed more crashing issues.

Hi all,

Thanks to the new in-app database update feature, Magic 2013 is now available for all editions of Decked Builder.

For iOS users (iPhone and iPad):
1) Go to the Settings page
2) Tap Update Database 

For Mac users:
1) Select Check for Updates under the Decked Builder menu item on the top menu bar.

For Android users:
1) Update your app to version 1.1 from the Google Play App Store

Hi all,

We are looking for a beta tester for Decked Builder for iOS 4. If you are still running iOS 4 because you have an older device like an iPhone 3G and are interested in testing out our new builds when they are released, kindly drop me an email at tanthorjen@deckedbuilder.com. 

We hope to resolve any issues of this sort (the v2.9 issue for iOS 4 users) in the future, but unfortunately, do not have any iOS 4 devices for our own testing.

Hi all,

The latest update 2.9 is crashing for iOS 4 users. We have zeroed in on the problem, and should have a fix ready very soon. If you are still running iOS 4, you will want to hold off on updating your app for the time being. Alternatively, if possible, it would be best for you to upgrade to iOS 5.

I must apologize for this issue -- and hope to get it resolved ASAP.
