Decked Builder - Mobile Apps for MTG

Hi all,

It's been a long wait, but Apple has finally published version 2.7.7 for the Mac. While the main fix was for Snow Leopard users to be able to update their database in the future, it also contains the following other changes:

  • Added MagicCardMarket.eu as a pricing source.
  • You can now search for +1/+1 counters, 1/1 tokens and other similar queries.
  • Fixed many collection related bugs.
  • Added Punishing Fire and Wild Nacatl to the Modern ban list.

On a separate note, we are finishing up Decked Drafter for the Android, and hope to have it released in about two weeks.

After that, we plan to add many Collections related requests, as well as implement it on the Android.

Shouldn't be long now....

Hi all,

We are happy to announce that the Android port of Decked Drafter is more than halfway complete. One thing we did during this porting process was to take the opportunity to clean up and enhance the Decked Drafter user interface, and we think that the Android edition of Drafter represents one of our prettiest efforts to date -- especially if you like the clean, modern look of the new Android user interfaces. But don't take our word for it, check out the screenshots below!

We are also looking for a few good individuals to help us out in a round of closed beta testing. If you are:

1) enthusiastic about having Decked Drafter on your Android
2) comfortable installing APK files onto your Android
3) have an (preferably multiple) Android device (2.1+ API)
4) willing to leave at feedback for us

Then we will be happy to have you on board! We are looking for some help in pointing out any Android user interface issues or quirks with the app, and as usual, any bugs or feedback that you might have.

Please write in to support@deckedbuilder.com with if you are interested in joining the beta.

Hi all,

We have received and processed all the Magic 2013 card art. A big thank you goes out to everyone who sent in their card photos.

We have also put the HD art for Planechase 2012 Edition up as well.

If you do find a card photo that is wrong, do drop us a note.

Hi all,

We recently processed, completed and put live 230 HD card images for Magic 2013. A big thank you goes to one individual, Joel Fortin, who actually helped scan and send in 211 cards. We have sent him an iTunes gift certificate to express our gratitude.

We are currently short just four rare / mythic rare cards to complete the set. They are:

1. Stormtide Leviathan
2. Stuffy Doll
3. Sunpetal Grove
4. Worldfire

If you have the card, we would really appreciate it if you could head over to

http://www.mtgo-stats.com/card_scan/

and send us a good quality photo or scan of the card via email using the links of the page. Photos would need to be taken in a brightly lit area (preferably daylight) without a direct light shining on the card which normally causes uneven lighting. More details can be found on our previous news entry.

Help us complete the set, and enjoy the sample final images below!

Hi all,

We have been getting to the bottom of the collections bugs / issues -- thank you so much for sending over your bug reports and collection files. There seem to be several issues at play:

1) The line endings (CR/LF) of the collection files seem to be getting mixed up for some reason which is preventing them from being read properly. We suspect it could be the result of mailing the collection files around. We have enhanced our collection file reading code to properly handle these cases.

2) There seems to be a bug with the default "My Collection" handling in certain cases. Our strong suggestion is to avoid using the default created collection for now.

We also have some more goodies in store for the next patch as well which we have been working on, chiefly:

- A way to view the first 200 unpriced cards in your collection
- You can now search for 1/1 tokens, +1/+1 counters and similar queries

It's currently in testing, and we hope to have it released soon. In the meanwhile, it would be best to avoid emailing your collection around.
