Decked Builder - Mobile Apps for MTG

An upcoming version of Decked Builder for Android is pioneering our new pricing screen. The deck price will be split between the main deck and sideboard, allowing you to make better decisions about the cost of a deck. The revamped screen will also include a “Find Cheapest” checkbox which when checked will choose the cheapest printing of any card in your deck, regardless of the version you have included in your decklist. If you want that specific printing just make sure the box is not checked. You can toggle back and forth to see the difference in price.

A side benefit of this change is the ability to evaluate trades on the go. Simply create a new deck and put your cards in the main deck and your trade partner’s offer in the sideboard and go to the pricing screen to view how they stack up using any one of our vendors prices for comparison.

This new and improved price screen will be rolled out to all of our applications in the near future.

Version 3.0 of Decked Builder for the Mac has been released and adds some exciting new features to the application. Ever wonder how running two Thundermaw Hellkite instead of three impacts your likelihood of drawing one? Stop wondering and check with our new probability calculator!

We've made some changes to collections as well: you can now add and manage the foil cards, merge multiple open decks for the purpose of checking against your card collection, and an add/set mode for updating card quantities.

The interface has also been modernized and includes a number of additional enhancements to improve your deck building experience:
  • Search cards by power, toughness, and color of mana produced
  • Sort cards by color
  • View card rarity through expansion icon color (for most sets)
  • Import decks from Magic Workstation
  • Save decks to iCloud (OS X 10.8)
  • Share your cards, decks, and entire collections (OS X 10.8)

We hope you enjoy these changes, happy brewing!

Hey Guys, its time for an update on the iPhone/iPad for Decked Builder. The update will be version 2.9 and will be available (undertone) as soon as Apple approves it (end undertone) very soon! Until then, here are a few of the upcoming patch features:
  • Added MagicCardMarket.eu as a pricing provider. European players, rejoice!
  • Added in-app database update mechanism accessible from the Settings page.
  • You can now search for cards by the color of mana that they produce.
  • If a set or collection is selected, the search reset button will clear all other settings except those. Keep tapping reset to clear those settings.
  • The Buylist / Deck tab header has changed slightly.
  • Added a way to quickly access Decked Builder support from the Settings page.
  • Updated App Icon.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Planechase 2012
Hey Guys, I have good news for the Android Decked Builder fans. We have pushed through the release of version 1.0.2, which contains the cards found in Planechase 2012.

Planechase 2012 contains 21 brand new Magic cards and 32 new planes and 8 new phenomena that are themed toward the Planar Format. If you are not familiar with the Planar Format or Planechase 2012 (or Planechase for that matter), MTG Salvation has a very nice wiki site that can tell you pretty much anything that you would ever like to know about the product.

If you would like to read the official Daily MTG release about Planechase 2012, just click HERE.

In addition to the Planechase 2012 cards being included in this release, the patch also includes several bug fixes that prevent various crashes.

If you find any bugs, always be sure to contact us so that we can get it fixed for the next release. Please send your bug reports to  support@deckedbuilder.com

Decked Builder Newsletter Sign-up Form
We are going to be taking the next step in promoting Decked Studios' apps to our MTG audience by doing something that has been asked of us repeatedly: Let you know what we are working on and when it should be ready!

We have created a Decked Studios Newsletter that we will be releasing in July that will be full of the information that you are looking for from our team. What we are missing is an email address in which to send the info. In the image above, you will see a snap shot of the 'Newsletter Subscription' form that can be found on practically any page on this site. Please know that your personal information will NEVER be sold, shared, compromised, distributed... I can't think of any other terms to include here.

In addition to the Newsletter, I have been trying to think of a couple of cool contests that we can have some fun with. The problem that I keep coming back to is that I don't really know you all that well yet. So let's fix that problem! I have set up a poll below that will let you speak up and let me know what kind of contest you like to participate in.

Whichever type of contest type wins, I will have a contest ready to go for you very shortly afterward.

Be sure to Tweet about this blog and help spread the word about Decked Builder. Hopefully we can get a good number of people interested in the contest. The more people interested, the more likely it is that I can find a prize for the winners!

I wanted to take a moment to blog about something that I have been working on this morning. Namely, the Decked Builder Website.

Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon developing a media kit for Decked Drafter so that we can increase our marketability and extend our media coverage. During that process, I noted that there was a lot of dust on the site and decided to spend today dusting and renovating the site. Times change and so do concepts and policies. So I wanted to ensure that what we are offering and delivering today is what the website reflects today.

Because of this, I have combed every page on the website and have improved and updated all of them. Most important was the 'Our Partners' page, where I updated CardShark's listing and added a new partner, adventuresON.com. (Welcome to the team!)

If you wouldn't mind, please take a look around the site and let me know if everything looks clear to you; because if it is not clear to you, reader/customer, then I need to make sure that it gets corrected.

Thanks for your continued support.

Oh, and be prepared for an announcement next week! ;)
