Below is a little 3D render I did in my spare time over the weekend. I was just imagining what Magic Online could really look like today if they updated their graphics to 2012 3D standards.... The standing up cards were meant to represent your hand, and I thought users might need bigger text to be able to read the names of cards on the battlefield.

Anyway, enjoy a possible vision of the future!

Wow, that looks really good. What you you say that the targeting and counters would look like?

A nice test you did, it would be pretty interesting. Although reading cards won't be such a problem with the future of screens lying in much higher resolution. The iPad seems to be the first step in that direction and already have there been announcements of 1920x1080 resolutions on 12" and 13" screens to be released soon. Also, with 4K televisions being developed, it's almost a given that in about 5 years a lot of the computers owned will have high resolution displays.

And why I mention it is because on the new iPad, I've noticed I rarely need to zoom in anymore, because all text is so clear and easily readable. This will be of a large benefit to Magic computer games.
