Decked Builder - Mobile Apps for MTG

Hi all,

We have identified the issue with the Mac edition crashing -- it was due to the new card pricing code we put it to handle the larger number of stores that are coming online. Basically, if your Mac loses it's Internet connection, the new card pricing code will cause the app to crash (we had inadvertently set the retry timer to 0).

We have already submitted a patch to Apple to fix this bug. We apologize for the issue, and hope the patch gets released soon. In the meanwhile, to avoid any issues, you might want to make sure your Internet connection is up while using the Mac edition.

Mine's been crashing anytime I change a criteria in my collection after I've been in that criteria for a while. Also, I just inventoried 1200 cards and just figured that it never really saved the last card each time it crash so now I have to go back through everything again. So FYI - until the patch is out - be careful with inventory!!

Also, meant to add - I have had a constant internet connection yet it has been crashing like crazy. Perhaps if there's a hiccup with one of the pricing websites - that will make it crash?

I also have been having issues with the Mac app. This most resent patch claimed to have fixed it but it seems to be crashing just as frequently as before, regardless of Internet connection or not.

@Tim Is there any chance you can send over a crash report? We are unable to reproduce the crashes on our end. Or would you know how to reproduce the crash?

To send a crash report:

Whenever a crash occurse and I am prompted to send a crash report imidiatly I do; but I will fallow the instructions on this websight and send a more detailed report. It is true that the crash happens more frequently when I am not connected to the Internet but it has happens while I was connected to the Internet, and all times while I was attempting to add cards to my inventory.

@Brian Would love it if you could submit a crash report -- instructions can be found here:

@Tim Unfortunately, we never get those crash reports which are sent to Apple.

That's a bummer. Okay, so I found the crash reports thanks to the instructions on the link but I'm not sure how to submit them to you. So just let me know where to send them and I will. Thanks for staying on top of this.

Thanks Tim, you can send it to our usual support email, support@deckedbuilder.com. Looking forward to your reports.

Okay, I sent the most recent crash reports. I assume you don't need the crash reports from before the patch. Anyways, I was wondering of you want me to continue sending the reports as I get them? Because I still use the program even though it crashes about every 3 minutes; that's how much I like this program. Keep us up-to-date on the patch and I hope you can get this fixed soon.

What I'm most concerned about is how frequently it crashes while not connected to the Internet, which was the original problem. I do most of my deck building at work where I don't have access to internet and so I am off line the entire time.

My Decked Builder for the Mac has been crashing a lot too. Even after I applied the patch. I just emailed in a couple of crash reports. Hope they help getting this resolved. It is a absolutely great program.
